In a quiet village on the outskirts of Siem Reap, Cambodia, a story of love, resilience, and community continues to unfold—one that has deeply touched all of us at Pod Projects.
Many of you will remember the heartbreaking passing of Yort Rani, a devoted mother and much-loved member of her village. Her sudden death left a profound void—not only in the hearts of her loved ones but in the lives of her three beautiful children, who were left in the care of their elderly grandmother, Yort Pai.
Despite her grief and advancing age, Yort Pai stepped forward with unwavering strength and determination to care for her grandchildren. It was clear she needed support—not just emotionally, but practically. And that’s where you, our incredible Pod Projects supporters, stepped in.
Thanks to your generosity, the transformation of their lives has begun.
We’ve seen incredible progress already:
The land has been legally secured in their name.
It has been elevated and fenced to provide safety and stability.
A water tank is now installed, along with a fully functioning toilet.
A completed water well, ensuring access to water every day.

The emotion on Yort Pai’s face as each piece falls into place is something we’ll never forget. This support hasn’t just built infrastructure—it’s built hope, dignity, and the foundations for a safer future.
And now, a new chapter is about to begin. Next month, we’re set to begin the construction of a new home for Yort Pai and her grandchildren—a space where they can heal, grow, and thrive together.
This project is a tribute to Yort Rani’s legacy, a gift of security and comfort to the children she left behind, and a testament to the power of community, compassion, and connection.
We’re so grateful to our Cambodian team, especially our incredible Humanitarian Aid Coordinator and friend, Darith Touch, whose deep care for his people continues to bring compassion and meaningful change to every project. And to every one of you who supports us, shows up, donates, and believes—thank you. You are truly changing lives.
There is still work to be done, but together, we are making it happen.
